I'm a new arrival in California, but I've already learned how a small minority in this state is stymieing economic growth and job creation for everyone else.
Regarding Mayor Jerry Sanders' speech calling for new San Diego city monument spending (The Daily Transcript, "Sanders addresses city's economic present, future," Sept. 16):
The l0th reason for reading your daily newspaper is simply practical; your newspaper is highly mobile. It doesn't need to be charged; it's impossible to lose in your pocket or purse; dead zones don't affect it at all.
The San Diego American Indian Health Center has been providing medical, dental and behavioral health services to American Indians living in an urban setting and community members for 30 years. According to SANDAG there are approximately 45,000 American Indians from every tribe, band and nation living in the greater San Diego area. Our mission statement, "Quality health care with respect for custom and tradition" best describes the goals to which we aspire.
This letter is in response to Daniel Coffey's column, "Erect, connect, repeat: We all want a solar garden" (The Daily Transcript, May 20) that criticized Bill Power's plan, and Bill's letter in response.
This letter responds to the letter to the editor titled "Wind versus solar" printed by The Daily Transcript on May 28.
Daniel Coffey's May 15 Daily Transcript article (Erect, connect, repeat: The many shades of green) was very well written and researched.
